The Sport Science Library is public but gears its collections strongly toward the needs of students and lecturers of the Institute of Sport Science.

Infrastructure

  • Study places
  • The Sport Science Library is connected to the university's PublicNET.
  • A Uniprint device is available to users. Payments are made by Unicard.

Borrowing

  • All books with the exception of reference works may be borrowed. Journals may only be used on site.
  • The Sport Science Library is not connected to the messenger service. Books must be collected and returned to the library during opening hours or returned by post.
Reading Room of the Sportscience Library

Collection

The selection of books in the library is geared first and foremost to the needs of the students and lecturers of the Institute of Sport Science (ISPW) and the sports practitioners of University Sports Bern. The library contains around 9,000 monographs and some 30 current journals.

  • The entire collection of the Sport Science Library may be borrowed with the exception of journals.
  • It is included in the swissbib Basel Bern search interface.
