Subscribe to Open (S2O)

The Subscribe to Open (S2O) model offers university libraries the opportunity to make content openly accessible through collective funding, without requiring authors to pay article processing charges (APCs). Instead of traditional subscriptions, libraries pool their resources to pay for the conversion of journals to open access. Each year, a review is conducted to ensure that costs are covered. In this way, S2O helps advance open access.
