Borrowing (exceptions Library of Law)
The Library of Law (JBB) is a non-lending library.
Exceptions:
- Members of the Faculty of Law are allowed to borrow with some restrictions. The loan period is 3 months with the possibility of one renewal for another 3 months. You can renew your books at the JBB/JFB.
- Bernese cantonal administrative bodies and courts are allowed to borrow with some restrictions for 1 week
- Students and other interested people are only allowed to borrow with some restrictions during closing hours (weekends and extraordinary closing dates). You may borrow books an hour before the library closes and must return them until 12:00 o’clock the following day that the library is open.
Restrictions
We do not lend the following:
All editions of swiss and foreign code of laws and commentary, swiss textbooks, all periodicals and their supplements, all yearbooks, all commemoratives, all reference books, all loose-leafs, all books before 1900 (except for dissertations) and certain manuals.
