Research Data
Researchers at the University of Bern and Inselspital can publish research data and metadata in accordance with the FAIR data principles on BORIS Portal.
- All datasets on BORIS Portal receive a DOI.
- You can create multiple versions of a dataset. Each new version receives its own DOI.
- Data can be published on BORIS Portal with open access or various options for controlled access (restricted, closed, embargoed). If you choose controlled access, you can specify a contact person to whom interested parties can submit an access request.
- For Open Research Data or open code, specify a usage license (e.g. CC0, CC BY, MIT, GNU GPLv3). A data transfer and use agreement (DTUA) is recommended for data sets with controlled access.
- BORIS Portal is registered in re3data and can be used to fulfill the requirements of the SNSF regarding data publication (see list of accepted repositories of the SNSF).
