Research with Social Media Data: The Digital Services Act and its effects on Swiss researchers

The European Digital Services Act (DSA) has been in place since February 2024 und aims to make the digital environment more secure. Article 40 regulates access and usage of data from very large online platforms (VLOPs) for research. 

In this workshop, we want to discuss the effect of the DSA on Swiss researchers with a focus on access options for social media data and the consequences for research data management and data sharing.
